皆様、いつもあたたかい応援をありがとうございます。
この度、香桜【Kao、13歳 自閉症ジュニアモデル】が、2024年8月10/11日開催 Japan Kids Fashion Week2024 @愛知県国際展示場に出場することとなりました！
現在、7月7日よりモデル投票が行われており、お一人（アカウント登録無料）につき、1日1回の投票が毎日可能となっております。（投票期間2024年7月7日〜8月8日まで）
投票結果は、当日のコンテスト総合審査の加点ポイントとなり、ファイナリストを決定する重要加点要素となります。

自己紹介させていただきます。
香桜は、現在13歳で、モデル活動を頑張っています。3歳で自閉スペクトラム症と診断され、自閉症の特性である様々な困難を抱えていますが、特に会話コミュニケーションに大きなハンデを抱え、複雑な会話や文章の組み立て及び解釈理解を困難としています。また、頭の中に様々なイメージがフラッシュし続け自分の世界に入り込んでしまったり、音や臭い光や外界からの刺激による感覚過敏などを抱えています。
「ぱっと見ただけでは、気付いていただけないハンディをどのように受けとめ、自分の個性として活かしてゆけばよいのか？」香桜と家族のこれまでの試行錯誤の日々は、一言では語り尽くせません。
そういった中、香桜は言葉を用いない表現活動のひとつとして、2019年からモデルの活動を開始しました。
ランウェイを歩いたり、カメラの前に立つ香桜は、「言葉じゃなくても伝えられる事がたくさんある。」と信じています。香桜が香桜らしく輝く姿をたくさんの人に見てもらい、「誰もが自分らしく輝ける世界になったらいいなぁ」と願いながら活動を続けて来ました。
自閉症というハンディキャップを抱えている人の中には、いつもとは違う環境には、すぐに馴染むことができず、パニックを起こしてしまう人も多くおられます。
香桜も幼児期は強いパニックに陥ることが日常的にあり家族の支えで乗り越えて来ました。
現在は、モデルさんを目指して、人の前に立ち、エンターテイメントの現場に立つことを彼女自身が誇りに感じており、本来ならば香桜にとって辛く難しい環境の場面でも努力を惜しまず、自分自身を見つめ続けることで、この活動を続けています。
一般のモデルさんたちと一緒に、こうした大きなショーに挑戦すると言うことは、香桜にとって、簡単なことではありませんが、香桜の1番の長所は「あきらめない勇気を持っていること。」、その大きな勇気で、ランウェイを自分らしく歩くことを目標に、前進していきたいと思います。
インクルーシブな世界を自ら作り出そうと闘う、新しい時代を生きる13歳の挑戦を是非、応援いただけましたら幸いです。よろしくお願い申し上げます。

Kao [Kao, 13 years old, junior model with autism] will appear at Japan Kids Fashion Week 2024 on August 10 to 11, 2024.
Currently, model voting has been held since July 7th, and each person (account Free）can vote once a day. (Voting period from July 7 to August 8, 2024）
I would appreciate it if you could give her a lot of cooperation and cheer for Kao, who is trying to walk on the runway in her own way on a big stage.
For now, I would like to introduce about Kao.
Kao is 13 years old and is working hard on her modeling activities. She has autism spectrum disorder and although she has various difficulties with autism, she has a major handicap in communication, and is unable to compose complex conversations and sentences.
It makes her that is difficult to understand what we inform in deeply.
"How can she accept her handicap that people can't notice just by looking at her, and how can she make use of it as her own personality of her?".
Under such circumstances, Kao started modeling activities in 2019 as one of her non-verbal expression activities.
As she walks on the runway and stands in front of the camera, Kao believes "I can tell a lot of messages without words." She wanted many people to see her shine in her own way, and she has continued her activities with the hope that "Everyone can shine in their own way in the world."
Some people with autism cannot easily adjust to new environment because that is different from their usual , and they often panic.
Kao also experienced strong panic attacks on a daily basis during her early childhood, and try to overcame them with the support of her family.
Currently, aiming to become a model, she feels proud to stand in front of people and stand in the entertainment scene. We are continuing this activity by keeping on trying and trying.
Taking on the challenge of such a big show with general models is not an easy task for her. So with her great courage , we would like to move forward with the goal of walking the runway in Kao's her own her way .
